Health Services Research
Clinical trials aim to evaluate the safety and efficacy of medical interventions in a controlled and ethical manner. We focus on drug and device trials in intensive care and surgery.
Our leading work includes evaluating the use of newer types of inhalational based sedation for critically ill patients and evaluating patient safety, clinical and health system outcomes.

Clinical Translational Science
Education
Clinical translational science is a multidisciplinary field that focuses on the application of scientific research findings to improve health outcomes by translating basic research discoveries into clinical practice and healthcare delivery.
This space includes pharmacokinetic studies that have optimized dosing regimen of tranexamic acid. In addition, we are evaluating the use of biomarkers and neuroimaging in critically ill respiratory failure patients.

Perioperative echocardiography education is an important aspect of training for healthcare professionals involved in perioperative care, including anesthesiologists, cardiologists, and cardiac surgeons.
Echocardiography is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses ultrasound waves to produce images of the heart and surrounding structures, and it is used in the perioperative setting to assess cardiac function and guide management decisions.
